Dear WordPlay Word-Zine readers,
Just delete this email if you don't live in the Charlotte area, don't want to self-publish a book, or aren't free this Tuesday evening. (Though if you are a female book lover and/or writer, you may want to check out the Women's National Book Association! Oh, and I have worked with all four of the panel presenters and LOVE their books, so if you have children to buy gifts for, you can scroll down and check out their offerings.)
I'm forwarding this information to you because I want to support your writing and this is such a good, free opportunity that I don't want you to miss it if you can come.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
Love and light,
Maureen

Lisa Otter Rose is a writer, visual journalist, and award-winning author. She appreciates how creativity, determination, and courage play key roles in every child's development. Like Jamie, the ten-year-old protagonist in her novel, You’ve Got Verve, Jamie Ireland! Lisa’s children suffered from undiagnosed learning disabilities. She experienced firsthand the frustration that those undiagnosed learning disorders brought to her children, and then the relief that proper diagnosis
and intervention offered. @LisaOtterRose |

MAUREEN RYAN GRIFFIN, an award-winning poetry and nonfiction writer, is the author of Spinning Words into Gold, a Hands-On Guide to the Craft of Writing, a grief workbook entitled I Will Never Forget You, and three collections of poetry, Ten Thousand Cicadas Can't Be Wrong, This Scatter of Blossoms and When the Leaves Are in the Water.
She believes, as author Julia Cameron says, "We are meant to midwife dreams for one another." Maureen also believes that serious "word work" requires serious WordPlay, as play is how we humans best learn—and perform. What she loves best is witnessing all the other dreams that come true for her clients along the way. Language, when used with intentionality and focus, is, after all,
serious fuel for joy. Here's to yours! |
